Manchester barbers to host craft beer tasting open to public

Manchester barbershop Everyman Barbers have teamed up with local beer maestros ShinDigger for a free craft beer tasting in their Cross Street store.

The beer tasting will take place on Friday 31 May and will be open to the public, who can simply walk in and taste a range of punchy craft beers without even having a haircut.

Noel Gilronan, Everyman Barbers’ director, says that since opening his central Manchester barbershop late last year, he’s been inspired by the huge range of locally brewed beers.

“We love beer and we want to get to get involved more in the local community, so we thought a beer tasting open to everyone would be a great way to meet locals,” says Gilronan.

“We offer free beer every day of the week to customers in all of our stores, but after noticing Manchester’s booming craft beer scene — we thought we’d get some local lads in with some decent local brews for everyone to try,” he says.
As well as enjoying the free beer tasting, punters can get £5 off their first haircut at Everyman Barbers, which has eight stores throughout the UK.

Gilronan says that craft beer tasting in their Manchester store could become a regular thing if enough people are interested.

“It’s not exactly a hard sell, is it?” he asks.

Everyman Barbers runs various continuous deals, such as 20% off for students Monday to Wednesday and 20% off for local businesses on weekdays
