It’s fair to say that 2018 has been an excellent year for Everyman Barbers. We have opened two new stores, one in Manchester city centre and another in the heart of Cheltenham. We have added fantastic new product ranges including SKNHEAD and SEB MAN, and most importantly we have seen an increase in customers and positive feedback across all stores.
Our staff have a huge part to play in the continued growth of Everyman Barbers. They are the heartbeat of the company and a massive reason why customers visit us again and again. To show our appreciation for our fantastic staff, this year we hosted the first-ever Everyman Barbers Awards to celebrate their achievements.
The ceremony took place on Saturday 12th January at Aston & Fincher Birmingham. As well as our staff, the event was attended by Ian Evans (Sales Director at Aston & Fincher),Simon Shaw (Creative Director at Wahl), Paul Breslin (Key Account Manager at Alan Howard), Nick Hansell (Regional Manager at Wella) and various other suppliers including our web & social media team (1HUTCH & See You Social) that have worked with us over the last 12 months.
The hilarious Sean Percival was compère for the evening, and he treated everyone to a 30 minute stand up set that started the evening with a barrel of laughs before our management team presented the awards to our winners listed below:-
Store of the Year – SOLIHULL
Barber of the Year – Tiffany Williams (Birmingham)
Manager of the Year – Dale Burchett (Nottingham)
Employee of the Year – Manos Tsiapis (Bristol)
Retailer of the Year – Emma Biddle (Birmingham)
Photo of the Year - Phil Ferne (Derby)
Most Improved Barber of the Year – Matt Rockley (Derby)
Managing Director, Noel Gilronan said, “To choose winners is extremely tough, In fact, all of our staff are winners! In many of the categories, the winners have changed 4 or 5 times throughout the year. In the end, we had to choose the barbers and managers that have gone above and beyond.”
Noel continued; “It’s fantastic to be able to get our staff from across the country together in one room and enjoy a celebration of their great work throughout the year. This was our first awards ceremony but it definitely will not be the last.
